Marc@smart121 training has played a significant role in building my motivation to train again. Since getting into cross duathlon Marc has provided a balanced and interesting mix of workouts, building on my strengths and working on my weaknesses. Marc's experience and knowledge in cross duathlon/ triathlon is a real bonus and comes through in the training schedules he prepares, he also has a great network of fellow cross athletes building a great community through his XTrihub website. The direction I have received from '121 Coaching' has enabled me to fit consistent, high quality and measured training around a busy work schedule. 2015 was an interesting and challenging season for me. In December 2014 I had a daughter. Marc was able to adapt my programme to accommodate this decrease in training tempo from the 2014 season. I still managed to better my half marathon time, achieve a sub 4:45 middle distance triathlon and finish 7th in the Eton middle man. He also made swift changes to my training when I decided to compete in Ironman Mallorca at the last minute, a race where I bettered my finishing place from the previous year. The way he was able to change the quantity of training but keep the quality and benefit is a credit to his ability and professionalism as a coach.
